Dozens of kiwis are peeled for a batch of kiwi gelato, and hundreds of lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruits are juiced by hand. All of this to achieve a gratifying and superior product.

Our San Diego gelato does not use corn syrups, artificial coloring, flavoring or preservatives. The color in our gelato comes from the natural ingredients. Gelato flavors which contain dairy are made with 2% milk.

Vegan GelatoGelato is creamier, smoother, silkier and denser than ice cream. Gelato is churned at a much slower rate which in turn incorporates less air making it more dense and creating a satisfying mouthful of flavor.
Both gelato and ice cream contain cream, milk and sugar, however authentic gelato uses more milk and less cream than ice cream and generally doesn’t use egg yolks, which are a common ingredient in ice cream.
Gelato is served about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than American ice cream, so your mouth is less numb therefore enhancing the flavor. The serving temperature also makes gelato creamier and smoother than ice cream.
Gelato contains approximately 60% less fat and calories than American ice cream. Due to lower fat content in gelato, your taste buds can experience flavors more intensely. Gelato doesn't require as much added sugar as ice cream to produce the same sweet flavor.
