“Jared is an AMAZING gelato mixologist and dessert master! He was extremely welcoming and provided us samples of fantastic gelato combinations...and even though we initially walked in looking for cake, we left with cake, a tart and two scoops of delicious gelato! Highly recommend!!!! Ask for Jared!”
“So So So So So Impressed with the Gluten Free options! Stopped in here tonight and was amazed by all of the desserts I was able to eat (I have a gluten allergy). I chose the chocolate mousse cake and it was so wonderful! I can't wait to dig in for the 2nd half tomorrow! I thoroughly recommend this dessert cafe for taste, presentation and very reasonable prices.”
“Amazing desserts, but even better than that were the people who worked there! They went above and beyond to make a 50th birthday celebration perfect! Even included a candle and song, without being asked. Soooo sweet!!”
“The desserts and coffee were amazing! You can get samples of the gelato before committing to a big one and there were so many flavors (highly recommend the nutella flavor). We also got a slice of the oreo cheesecake and o boy...everything you would imagine and more. Jarrod, the barrista, was so friendly and made sure our order was done to our liking. You can tell he has a great passion for what he does. Definitely go here!!”
Omg - I’d heard some good things about this pudding stop shop... and it lived up to the hype! We sat in once and had a take out another time and food was delicious each time! Head for a lunch in town and stop by here for dessert!
Had the Bavarian cake and Pistachio and black berry macarons. Really strong flavours on the desert.
Loved their coffee prep and got a taste of their Vietnamese coffee.
Cafe run by pretty friendly women and are great at their art of baking.
A good experience with a light dessert experience.
They also have a vegan choc fudge option(the only vegan dessert from these girls though) .
I am sad to say I did not like the service we received. 🙁 We order the strawberry and banana crepe for $9.50. It was dry and way over cooked. The strawberries were tiny and a very small amount. The crepe also had two half slice bananas. It was not enjoyable to eat. The second crepe was the lemon custard. It was much better cooked and tasted a little better. For the price of $7.50 I don't think it was worth the price. We order a white chocolate raspberry coffee. It didn't taste at all what we order. We were very disappointed because I read the reviews and went to give it a try. I will not go again, customer service was poor. It is sad to say it fail.
Loved all the desserts we tried. The staff was friendly and helpful. I brought this back home for family to celebrate and everyone was more than happy. I want to go back and try more things because everything looked amazing. *perk they are reasonably priced
Ordered the pistachio cake with strawberry compote and the fruit tart. Both of the pastries were good. Fruit tart had a great custard filling though the custard was a little extra than my personal liking. Also the pie was a little thick in the middle, but nonetheless both of them tasted really good. Would definitely be coming back here
Went at 11/9/19 at around 4pm. My mother asked what was in the red velvet cake and the man there used literally the most rude voice and most condescending attitude toward us and didn't explain anything. He was more interested in talking to the other employee. The food was good but never coming back again.
Man, this place is awesome. Right in the middle of a bunch of great bars and restaurants, open late, and full of amazing sweets.
A dozen or so flavors of gelato, all if which are delicious, greet you when you walk in. Then beyond that, there's several display cases full of delicious cake, pies, mousses, and other deliciousness. The selection is incredible.
A little pricey, but worth it - and the seating is limited, esp inside. They do have patio seating as well, though, which is pretty viable year-round in San Diego.
Go here. It's amazing.
Nice place for pastries and ice cream. The pastries are good but are a bit too sweet and lack some refinement. But it is definitely a good place and hopefully this will push to have more of these places and improve overall choices and quality in SD. It is also nice that they open long hours.
What a cool place to get some delicious treats after any place you eat in North park. In walking distance you will have a choice of ice creams made on the premises. And all those fancy desserts like Boston Cream Cake, tiramisu, or even creme Brulee! It's most enticing to the eyes and ever so Yummy to your Tummy! Enjoy
The desserts were amazing! I didn't know what to get so I asked the worker what she recommended, and she said she's a total chocolate person! Yes! I love chocolate so I went with her choice of this little chocolate mouse cake and it was rich and chocolaty! I also ordered the pistachio strawberry, which tasted perfect together with the chocolate one! Balanced out the richness! Nice little place to have coffee and dessert! Next time I'll try the ice cream/gelato (forgot which one it was)
Very classy feel with friendly staff and delicious desserts, as well as quality espresso, and water at the ready.
I recommend the Snickers Cheesecake if you're up for it, it's delicious.
Pricey and at small portions, each of the desserts they have to offer have to be good. For most of the desserts, they are. They may be slightly on the sweeter end but they are delightful nonetheless. I only wish that they were a bit bigger. When I ordered a $7 slice of cheesecake, I thought I was going to get a sizable amount, not a sliver.
it was delicious! We had the Key Lime cheesecake and the fudge brownie cheesecake they were both perfection. We also had a mocha and a mexican mocha that were so good!! the staff was friendly and helpful we definitely will be going back to try new things since everything sounds and looks delicious!!!
First time here and enjoying a perfectly spiced carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and vegan chocolate mousse made with coconut milk. I love every bite!❤️ There are chopped almonds in the carrot cake — I prefer without.
We happened on this shop after the Ray Street Art Festival and had Gelato. Server was wonderful, very happy to explain all the flavors. We went back a. couple nights later and had their Creme Brûlée. Once again, the server was wonderful, you could tell he enjoyed working there. A very lively place, although little, there is seating inside and outside. We recommend to anyone looking for dessert.
The staff here is incredible. We spent five to ten minutes just listening to them explain in great detail what all the desserts were. We tried a few options and they were all delicious. I will definitely be coming back here
Yummy!!! For gluten free desserts you would never tell. I had an amazing concoction of chocolate cake, mousse and something that resembled Nestle crunch. It was amazing! Their macaroon flavors are top notch but the winner was the gelato! We got to try so many flavor combinations and they were all delicious! I would definitely come back!
